A simple Google search by unit will usually turn up what you want. Obvious candidates for regiments that stand out are 35th Indiana with the green caps, Iron Brigade in the Hardee hats and Zouaves. Of course, in 6mm the vast bulk of the troops will be "generic." In both 6mm and 15mm all my troops are "generic" – blue on one side gray on the other. |

Just use lighter colors than you normally would use on larger figures. It really helps on the little guys. |

I would skip the miracle dip for 6mm minis. It will darken them considerably. At least try it first before you do it to all of them. |

Do an image search for Don Troiani – his paintings are the cream of the crop. |

I have a related question, since I've just started a 6mm Union army. In almost everything I see, the Union packs and satchels are black. Against the blue coats, I think black is either going to look muddy, or you won't be able to see it at all. Any suggestions? |

"I think black is either going to look muddy, or you won't be able to see it at all. Any suggestions?" A dark gray to middle gray should work better. |
