These will be part of my "firebase" until I get a proper one built. JR Miniatures. Billed as 15mm but really better for 20mm. Very hard to paint – no matter what I did the paint would run off the resin like water off a freshly waxed car. In desperation I put them in the dishwasher and that (mostly) did it. Even now there are bits where the paint refuses to stick….after the game next week these will see duty in a lot of genres and time periods.

Will a 20mm figure really stand inside?

Thanks.

I have had that happen to some JR stuff from time to time. You can usually tell in person---it feels slightly greasy to me. Very frustrating to have that happen---makes me leery of buying their stuff.

Luckily, I've never had that problem with JR. But the ones I have painted are older ones. Probably made before the sale.

@GarryOwen:

Putting an 18mm Flashpoint inside mounted on a washer, it fits with 1mm to spare. So depending on if your 20 is really 20 or 22, how it's based, etc. it may fit. It would be tight but it would be easy to add a little spacer to the roof to buy another millimeter if you really needed it.

@PzIVH43: Yup it felt greasy. If I find another like that I may try Goo Off and see if that does it….
