Our group is running the following games on Table 1 in Ballroom B. Come join us as we invade the South once again at Historicon in Fredericksburg!

T-477 Magua Heart is Twisted French & Indian War; 10 AM; Length: 4 hrs; Hosted by: Cliff B; Scale: 28mm; Rules: This Very Ground; No. of Players: 6. The New York frontier is a blazed as Indian Raiding parties raid Farms along the Mohawk Valley. Magua must show his French Father that the Huron are the masters of the Valley. He knows the English need food to survive in the wilderness, so he attacks the Farms on the Frontier to squeeze the English supply lines. ‘Magua said… he understands English very well.' Kids under 14 must be with adult, No Food

Once again, brave heroes search for the fabled manual of evil! This time the ancient tome is on the distant planet of Tekumel. This is one of the five games on the HAWKS Tekumel track.

T-161 The Battle Before the Battle Napoleonic; 2 PM; Length: 4 hrs; Hosted by: Duncan Adams; Scale: 25mm; Rules: Combat Patrol: Horse and Musket; No. of Players: 6. Battalions formed; lines dressed; banners flying. The drums start and one line begins moving, steadily closing toward the inevitable, violent collision. But before the lines close there is another battle which must be fought first – between the closing lines. Today we fight that battle of light infantry struggling to weaken the enemy's line while protecting its own.

It's April 1945 and Zossen is the last line of defense against the Soviet 3rd Guards Tank Army, advancing on the Berlin. Can the newly raised RAD Infanterie Division (consisting of labour service construction workers) and their support; a rag tag of training and experimental panzer units and some hastily trained Hitler youth, hold, or can the Russians break through?

With the Austrians crumbling under the weight of the Brusilov Offensive, Turks of the XV Corps (veterans of the Gallipoli Campaign) are sent in, in a desperate attempt to shore up the lines and stop the Russian hordes! Mayhem reigns supreme as tank commanders try to be the last tank standing. It's an every tank for itself affair as players command American, Russian, German, British and French armored vehicles. Who can you trust to watch your six? Earn points for each kill. Progress from light armored vehicles up to the King Tiger and JS-III. Not exactly historical but always a good time.

Four armies have marched. However, this time the Elves and the Dwarfs have agreed to be allies and split the treasure. Not wanting to lose their chance, the Humans and the Goblins also decided to unite. Who will get there first (and can whoever gets there first hold on to the treasure long enough to get away with it.)

Tenacious Germans dug-in the ruins of St Lo, hoping to delay the American advance for weeks. The German defense was scattered and outmatched. It would prove to be a short, but hard fought battle for the city. Gamers under the age of 14 are welcome with an adult.

On August 22nd four massive armies – two French, two German – collided in the Ardennes resulting in dozens of isolated brigade sized battles. Two of those battles erupted at the neighboring towns of Maissin and Anloy. At Maissin the Germans desperately clung to the town to the last extremity against overwhelming French numbers. Rules will be taught. Young gamers welcome with playing adult.

F-177 Bad Day at Husaybah April 2004 Modern; 7 PM; Length: 4 hrs; Hosted by: Michael Pierce; Scale: 28mm; Rules: Force on Force; No. of Players: 5. Unknown to the Marines in Husaybah, Al Qaeda moved 300 insurgents into the city. The insurgents moved from harassing mortar attacks to direct assaults on Marine units. A Marine OP became involved in a major fire fight requiring the Marine QRF to rescue them. Can the QRF relieve and extract the OP from the insurgents?

Early in the war, as the German armies were sweeping through France and along the coast, the allies tried several new ideas, including naval bombardment. Here we consider such an action, and the German reaction. A confusing action, reaction and counter reaction, using ships that were expendable at this time.

US Forces have crossed the Moselle using rubber assault boats and have established a small bridgehead. The infantry has to hold on long enough for a bridge to be erected to allow for armored forces to cross over. The Germans are attempting to eliminate the bridgehead. While the allies run Napoleon to ground in northern France Wellington emerges from the Peninsula driving to be in on the kill. The Duke faces his old foe Soult on the high ground above Orthez – the last barrier to open country. With Fate of Battle there are no large chart cards to spoil the aesthetics of your game. Once again Captain Ogle takes the credit, and most of the treasure, after a successful attack. He does throw a nice party to celebrate, though. Mr. Smee, the First Mate, has decided that now is HIS time to lead the pirate crew. MUTINY ! Where will you stand? Are you loyal to the Captain, or will you join Mr. Smee? Or maybe you have another idea? Another game from the HAWKs designed for the younger gamer. Adults May be considered, but only with a playing child.

It's homecoming week at Hogswarts and many former students have returned for the festivities. Following the Quidditch championship match, the alumni gather for a game of magical capture the flag. S-175 Skirmish in New France French & Indian War; 7 PM; Length: 4 hrs; Hosted by: Don Hogge; Scale: 28mm; Rules: Muskets & Tomahawks; No. of Players: 6. The French and Indian War began after a series of incidents in the upper Ohio River valley. In an effort to gain control of the disputed territory, British forces established a series of forts and outposts throughout the region. French forces harassed these forts and ambushed their supply lines. During one daring raid, they destroyed storehouses and buildings outside the main fortification. Gamers under the age of 14 are welcome with an adult.

S-154 Warsaw Uprising World War II; 7 PM; Length: 3 hrs; Hosted by: Buck Surdu; Scale: 28mm; Rules: Combat Patrol(TM): World War II; No. of Players: 6. The Polish Resistance Home Army has risen up to eject the Nazis. The uprising is timed to coincide with the Soviet advance, but the Soviets stop short and enable the Nazis to crush the resistance after 63 days of bitter fighting. Learn to play Combat Patrol as a member of the resistance or the German army. Gamers under 13 welcome with a participating adult. No booze, please.

Z-189 The Thunder Dome Invitational Road Warrior Cross-country Race Future; 10 AM; Length: 3 hrs; Hosted by: Eric Schlegel; Scale: 1/72; Rules: Future Race (modified); No. of Players: 10. A cross-country race based on Jamie Davis' popular ‘Future Race' rules. Drivers will battle each other, the desert terrain and various other factors to be first around the oasis and over the finish line. Bumping is encouraged (some might say required) and style points will be awarded for the most spectacular wreck. Players under 13 welcome with a playing adult.

Deadliest Mechwarrior – Clash of the Freedom Fighters. In this edition of Deadliest MechWarrior two of the greatest freedom fighters to live come face to face. From the FedCom Civil War we have the Cincinatus of his era Archer Christofari leading Archers Avengers, and from the waning days of the Word of Blake's tyranny we have Devlin Stone, the man who led the Inner Sphere to freedom against an army of fanatics. Who will come out on top. Who will be the Deadliest MechWarrior? All materials, miniatures and dice will be provided. Intermediate to experienced players and no Players under 15 years old.
