What's the one conflict you're interested in but know you just won't be able to get it in this lifetime? I have two, he said, breaking his own rule: English Civil War Crusades |

Medieval Japan; like Sekigahara era. |

The Crimea, I have some Eureka British, but not many, and the group I game with have no interest. So many other periods I am already involved in make it seem like it will never happen…….of course I could go it alone….. |

SYW, and AWI it seems…. Trying desperately to do some 19th Century Colonials but so many projects seem to keep pushing this to the back burner als0… |

I don't have one. I currently have games for every period and genre I'm interested in. I have a collection or two I need to sell as I got in and they didn't live up to billing (Spanish Civil War for example). |

Mongol conquest. Made a start on the Mongols themselves in 12mm, but none of my wargaming groups are interested and I don't have enough years left to paint all of their potential opponents. |

40mm AWI…I would love to do both the painting and playing…but… |

None – I'll play in whatever medium (Minis, PC, Boardgame, or paper troops) and call it good |

I've always wanted to do the Sudan but don't know if I would ever get to do it unless I found a large nicely painted set with both armies ready to go. DM |

Roman EIR, however so many of our group have them, there is no need to start an army. |

17th and 18th Centuries. Massive amount of interest in the history. Massive amounts of time spent on research, Even started an imagination (the initial reason for my blog), made a 17th century scenario for 1632 the Warre Game, and have bought minis, but it has never worked. I noticed something with BBB and the way it has succeeded in keeping me energetic for the 19th century. I am its seems a historical scenario player. I fear that if I do not have a good set of historical scenarios ready I may lose motivation in a project. |

Tsuba Russo – Japanese figures. So very very tempting yet so much other lead needed to be addressed. Also anything 40mm I would love to do but 28mm has already snagged my wallet. Oh well, grabbing my brush and plugging away. |

It apears AWI and ACW, never gotten for in any attempt I've tried on those periods. WW2 also seem like it might be it. |

Biggest problem is getting rid of genres/eras I have no interest in working anymore. Learning to not start something just because is "shiney cool!" |

Alfred vs the Danes. I've had many pub discussions on how to make the battles both vaguely realistic and interesting. |

WWI I don't like any of the scales for it, and I'm overly picky about how the rules should model the battles on a detail level. I'd sure love to play it, but I don't see it happening in my many years left. |
Gunfreak | 10 May 2016 2:22 p.m. PST |
WW1 is one of the few periods I would consider boardgameing. Shoving red and blu tokens representing division trying to take large swaths of real estate. |
