From Khurasan, and it is a real beauty!

I'm waiting for Sparks to rubbish the tank ;) But you can't deny thats one sweet model. Once my work commute from Sydney to Manila settles down I'll be ordering a mess of these for Team Yankee and general Cold War gaming fun.

Really digging the paint job too, but wonder how common it was for units to camo them up like that.

You can get them here: link

Near as I can tell camo was pretty much a very, very rare thing. So when I do it I just squint…

If you paint yours like model and someone tells you the Soviets didn't camo them back then just say the paint faded.

Or like the invasion of Czechoslovakia where all invading tanks were supposed to have a large white cross painted, front to back and side to side over the turret.

But they didn't have enough paint so some went with no invasion markings. Tense moments ensued when they bumped into another column without markings

That is very cool! I love their AFVs, great sculpts.

Camouflage paint jobs started to be observed in WGF in the late 80s.

Nice model,

Tally Ho!

And within hours on the road all AFVs are camo'ed…. with a thick coating of dust and/or mud (if the weather is foul).

Yes lovely looking model and a beaut paint job!

Mate – nothing wrong with the T64BRAVO version – so long as it got the right level of high tech maintenance, support and crewing!(Not something always easy to find in the Soviet Army!)

That could be said of every AFV in every army.

Not compared to the T-72 or better yet the T-55 apparently.

Let me know when the T55 gets the 125mm gun.
