OK first, for those who do not know, Age of Valor (AOV) is an expansion module for Age of Eagles (Napoleonic Fire & Fury) that allows brigade level play covering conflict in Europe from the 1848 Hungarian Revolution thru the Guns of August 1914. It is a digital publication that consists of a series of independent chapters, one for each conflict, each with its own special rules, charts and tables.

Over the last couple of weeks I've gotten little done due to a back sprain which really limited me using a keyboard, and also some carpel tunnel issues that have only just resolved. I'm pretty much recovered now, so its back to work on AOV for me.

I am now finishing up the Balkan Wars where the scenario sample is the battle of Lile Burgas. The battle is the portion I am working on now, and will actually be 2 1/2 scenarios because the battle covered such a large piece of real estate. There will be a scenario covering the lower half of the battle, one the upper and one the entire thing. Be advised that doing the entire battle requires a 20 foot long table.

After this is finished, I look at the two Schleswig-Holstein Wars.

I will also be reaching out (very) soon to a select few (yes, already have the names) for some playtesting of the various independent conflict chapters. My Canadian peeps already have the FPW, and the results have been very enlightening; really gonna result in a better game IMHO.

When all chapters are done, the next step is to deconflict the chapters as regards rules and data so as to allow for a smooth and seamless continuum from 1848 – 1914. Then we go live.

Here is the current status:

- Guns of August 1/2 done
- Balkin Wars working it now
- Resorgimento 1859 done
- Austro-Prussian War 1866 done, but Custozza scenario needs to be added
- Franco-Prussian War Imperial done
- Franco-Prussian War Republican done
- Crimean War done
- Russo-Japanese done
- Hungarian Revolution, Carlist Wars, Russo-Turkish Wars, Schleswig Holstein not started

Stay tuned.

Warmest regards,
