A huge sink-hole opened up on Canal Street in front of Harrah's Casino a few days ago. Here's a video of the resulting party today: link |

That's a good enough reason to have a beer. |

Lot's of stories about sinkholes these days. Question is why? Is it the mole people or is the planet trying to tell us something? |

They are being caused by the tiny black hole bouncing around inside the Earth's crust caused by the Cern Large Hadron Collider. |

I was looking for my much older brother brass1. He must have arrived after the news crew was done. I will say that given the general state of disrepair of New Orleans' streets, the sinkhole doesn't look all that unusual. My brother's street looks like it has been maintained through the medium of carpet bombing. |

The big complaint has always been that Sodom and Gomorrah never got proper warning….whatever you do don't look back! |

Kansas City, Missouri, has one of the largest underground cave systems in the world which continues on the Kansas side as well. The Federal Government stores files in one, others have train tracks running into them, the one I drove through with a friend was lined with businesses in side galleries. We are sitting on top of 900 feet of limestone but on the Kansas side in "Crimedotte County", excuse me, Wyandotte County an entire neighborhood is sinking into the Cave Quarry below. Cheers, hocklermp5 |
