And the annual event that says even the Mexican Army can beat Senor Frog. Actually, the Mexican people. The Army was having it handed to them in the retreat west. The rurales and support of the people of Puebla (who didn't like their government or Army) really won the day. |

Actually Cinco de Mayo has always been more of a Mexican American holiday in the US, and pretty much began with them. Definitely not cultural appropriation in the US -- we can always find a good reason to drink…look at St. Patrick's Day. |
