Hello all,

We had our annual Car Wars event last weekend. Once a year I try to host a big game that is something special. This year was a big success.

thumbs up

Inspiring!

I haven't kept up with Car Wars – which edition rules are you using, and how has the game changed over the years?

The track is 96 sq. feet. My wife is a saint for going along with having it set up in the living room for a week. :)

We were playing with the "Deluxe Compendium" rules, so pretty much "old school" Car Wars with all the bells and whistles (gas engines etc.) – link

I put a lot of effort into packaging up the game into user friendly pieces, and keeping it moving. Fortunately most of us played when we were (much) younger so in general it runs smoothly – and improves every year.

As I understand it they are getting ready for a kick-starter of 6th edition which sounds like a very different game.
