Or any of the 3rd party kits available? If so what do you like to use for rules? Homemade, something from a Yahoo group or other? When KRE-O released 1980's era GI JOE sets. I went out and started hording kits. I created a rule set using a modified system from the Mutant Chronicles CCG. My friend and I are happy with the system but I'm wondering what other use. |

Building Lego has been my main hobby the past few years, overtaking miniature gaming. I haven't used them yet, but I have enough Star Wars Lego that I could put on some nice games. I'd probably use a modded set of rules, using the minifigs. Dang, now you got my brain thinking. I'm feeling another order of Lego coming on, taking advantage of their May the 4th sale…again. :-) The Hawks gamers run Lego pirate games at HMGS cons. |

No, no and very no. Lego's nice, it's fun – it's also useful (I've used it to build scenery which I've then dressed and painted).
But it's too toy like for me to take seriously as for gaming miniatures. John T |

I created a rule set using a modified system from the Mutant Chronicles CCG. Those are actually pretty fun rules. I have considered 'porting' them over to some other miniatures, myself. I have collected Lego sets since I was seven- no Duplo then!- and have always considered it, but never REALLY have. Though I did play a Rogue Trader game where my squats were besieged in the Yellow Castle. It was literally "reduced", but they squeaked out a victory. What a blast Moble Frame Zero (& its predecessor) and Brik Wars continue to inspire me do do SOMETHING like that. BTW, the Brikwars rules are an AWESOME read. link |

No, but someone else provides both sides and rules… |

The Beast Rampant: When I'm not feeling inspired to paint and build minis. I tinker with the bricks and visa versa. It keeps me modeling and out of my wife's hair. And if I don't want to do either there is always my fallback of FALLOUT 4. |

And it really is relaxing. And if I don't want to do either there is always my fallback of FALLOUT 4. I had to lay off F4 for a few weeks. I wasn't getting any painting done, and my settlement building was getting obsessive . |

Yes. At a local convention I hosted games of Legends of the High Seas using pirates and bluecoats from both the classic range and the one released last year. The terrain included buildings from the medieval market village set among others. |

I ran flashpoint fire game with a lego building. As the building took damage, we could take parts off. |

I have used Lego pirates in the distant past, and must admit an occasional fantasy (way out of my current budget unfortunately) of X-Wing games on the lawn with Lego ships…. |

Yep. Using some of the same rules I like for 'proper' toy soldiers, so for medieval/fantasy: Song of Blades & Heroes; HotT; Rally Round the King; Hail Caesar; Lion/Dragon Rampant. And for Star Wars and other scifi: Blasters & Bulkheads and Five Parsecs from Home. I rather like it for a variety of skirmish games, for similar reasons that some people like it for RPGs: you can change the equipment of a figure easily, put them on mounts or in vehicles, that kind of thing. |
