Thing is Dark Angels have Bleached Bone Armor for their Terimators

GhostofRebeccaBlack03 May 2016 2:47 p.m. PST

Indeed, very nice paint job!

Insomniac03 May 2016 3:50 p.m. PST

They aren't Dark Angels… the link explains who and what they are :)

Real old-school vibe to these. Nice work :)

Besides, dark angels obly wore white from a certain battle, before they wore the usal dark green and before black

evilcartoonist04 May 2016 12:34 p.m. PST

Hi, everyone!
I painted these and created my own chapter -- they are a successor to the Aurora chapter (hence the choice of green.) This chapter is a newer chapter and is underequipped, so it has taken donated equipment and armor from other chapters. Thus, the Dark Angel armor. I will also be using Blood Angel armor which will be painted the same as these.

With this reasoning, I can use figures from just about any chapter for my own. It makes it a lot easier to find figures for my force :)

Thanks, Insomniac, for noticing the "old-school vibe"; that's what I was going for :)

If he wanted them to be Aurora Chapter Terminators then he should have fixed the shoulder pads.

Because what is on them is Dark Angels and not Aurora Chapter.

Jesus Mithmee, give it a rest, its all made up, its a nice paintjob, and he can make up whatever backstory he likes. Hey, if I get his address for you, would you like to break into his house on Christmas morning and wee on his kids presents, too?
Don't forget how expensive these figures are, you haven't mentioned that yet…….. ;-)

Why should I since these are GW figures that he got off of Ebay.

Plus they are from the 1990's so back when GW miniatures were reasonable priced.

Mither. I'm with John here. You are too harsh for a guys toy showcase

alpha3six13 Jun 2016 3:30 p.m. PST

Plus they are from the 1990's so back when GW miniatures were reasonable priced.

Terminators were $8.50 USD USD for a pack of 2 in 1990, and according to the Consumer Price Index calculator, they would cost $15.55 USD adjusted for inflation in 2016. That's around $39 USD bucks for a squad of 5.

Sure the Deathwing box costs $60 USD now, but there are at least a few more pieces in there than just 5 bodies and 10 arms so you're getting at least some value for the increased cost.

Ah. There's mithmee. Right on cue. Well done lad.

(Major Disaster)23 Jun 2016 4:29 a.m. PST

Now,now, don't be too mean to Mithmee. He's obviously a member of the Adeptus Astartes Analus Retentus Chapter. By the way, great work on the Terminators, evilcartoonist thumbs up

Your Kidding26 Jun 2016 7:08 p.m. PST

Cool and good work.

evilcartoonist26 Jun 2016 10:24 p.m. PST

Thanks, all!
Blackstar, I still have some terminators leftover; what colors are this "Analus Retentus" chapter? ;)

I'll just do the rest6 in Bretonnian colors. Or clowns.

(Major Disaster)27 Jun 2016 8:43 p.m. PST

Well, I'm not sure but, their colors are probably Puckered Sphincter Pink and Offal Brown wink

evilcartoonist28 Jun 2016 12:23 p.m. PST

Well, I'll have to look on my equivalency chart to see what the matching Vallejo colors are.

:D
