Hi, just added an update to my blog as I have 3 new units for my Great Northern War project painted. Hopefully these will be based up next weekend when the basing department returns home from University.

Swedish regiment Narke Varmland with a mix of different figures utilised.

Your GNW figures look really nice! I like the flags too…Warfare Miniatures? What rules do you plan on using?

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah the Flags are Warfare and very nice. Current thoughts on rules are Black Powder with some amendments for Pike and Swedish Tactics. Remains to be seen if that sticks after playing but I do like the rules.

Very nice figures! Great period!

Cheers Costanzo it is a really nice period and just different enough to catch my imagination. Also helps I can use all the Poles and Cossacks for the earlier period and the Saxons in the WSS of course.

Costanzo1 you asked in a previous post about the different manufacturers mixing. I do cover this in my blog quite a bit but if you look at the first image of the Narke Varmland regiment you will see the first 2 figures are Wargames foundry then a stack of Warfare with the Pike all being Footsore miniatures. In the background one of the grenadiers is also an Ebor. For me I think the mix OK.
