Has anyone played either game? I've. Got HOW but DKK Sparks my interest. I've read on a site that DKK makes the Prussians invincible? |

Fast or slow game required? DKK has details, HoW not as many. |

I've got 3-4 hours to play a game in if that helps? |

It would be unconvincing for me to recommend my own rules, but I will say that I found Die Kriegskunst a little too complicated for my personal taste. HoW was designed to be simpler, and should play quicker, IMHO. honoursofwar.forums.net Best wishes, Keith Flint. |

Used to play DKK all the time never had a bad game. Bought the rules twice but book falls to pieces very quickly, that's not the reason I stopped playing, it was because my opponent moved away |

DKK are excellent rules but can be fiddly. It was hard to get others to play the rules. I went to Rank & File and now Honours of War. Both are easier to play and still get great games. |

Just bought a copy of HOW specifically because they are simpler and yet built well to accommodate the peculiarities of the SYW period. |

Bought HOW but have not played yet. My read through indicates they are simple enough to play in your allotted time. I also bought Maurice but that is a Two player game. DKK is one I do not have. Friends tell me it s on the complex side and may not fit your game requirements above. |
