Tyrion bonded with dragons! Roose bought the farm! Jon Snow gasped! He also got a haircut. Maybe Tommen will put on his Big Boy Pants next week. I don't usually cheer Lannisters, but I am on Team Cersei for at least a week or two more. |

"I drink, and I know things." What a great line. Tough night for rulers. My only objection is that each seemed transparently obvious what was going to happen. I agree with the last as well. Time for the Lannisters to reassert themselves. |

I knew that Roose Bolton was going to die. |
Doctor X | 01 May 2016 8:25 p.m. PST |
I didn't see Bolton or Greyjoy getting killed. The rest was fairly straightforward and very entertaining. Another solid episode. |

Great chapter! Who was the man who killed the Greyjoy King?… I know he was his brother… but which was his history line?… Sansa has a demon in her body… are she loosing him? The dogs in Winterfeld eat well!! (smile). Amicalement Armand |
The Beast Rampant | 01 May 2016 10:19 p.m. PST |
Bloody first two episodes! And I knew the Red Witch had it in her- now, if she can just make Jon's sword go all Zippo. My only objection is that each seemed transparently obvious what was going to happen. That's what you get for watching the "much previously, on Got" intro. OK, so we've got Euron Greyjoy. I'm wondering if they'll bring in Victarion, or maybe he'll just show up for a cameo. I'm REALLY wondering who those guys were at the end of the trailer for next week. They had Targaryen crests, I think? |

The real question is whether he will continue to be "I know nothing" Jon Snow or take the power and rule? I have no use for the old pitiful Snow. |

Victarion? Yara (Asha) will take his place. |
Bandolier | 02 May 2016 10:21 p.m. PST |
Victarion? Yara (Asha) will take his place. Or not. They hinted that a female ruler might not be wanted by the Ironborn. Theon is the only male (sort of) heir and would have a legitimate claim. |

Question… if Tommen is dead… who rules the Kingdoms?… Amicalement Armand |
Winston Smith | 03 May 2016 6:43 a.m. PST |
Victarian and Asha (Yara) both lost to Euron in the Kingsmoot. Euron sent V to Meereen to woo Danaerys as Euron's bride. Since no one seems to have been cast as V, Yara is available. Armand, if Tommen dies, then we get Civil War. So he better spring Margaery and get her pregnant. |
Winston Smith | 03 May 2016 8:08 a.m. PST |
Alternately, the noble houses of Westeros could choose between the living children of the Mad King Aerys. First up is Danaerys. Then Tyrion, who is "probably" a Targaryean. Or we could go with the grandson of Aerys, Jon Snow. (All but confirmed in the show. See next week Episode 3 for proof.) |
darthfozzywig | 03 May 2016 10:13 a.m. PST |
The fact that Lyanna is finally in the picture probably seals the deal. Although she is supposed to look more like Arya – who looks like Jon – making the connection. |

Thanks John!… I was thinking in a Council who choose the new King… I don't know how Baratheon was choosen… Amicalement Armand |
Winston Smith | 03 May 2016 11:51 a.m. PST |
Baratheon was "chosen" because he led a rebellion that killed the King and Criwn Prince. Typical "Dynastic Change" method of choosing a ruler. |
Winston Smith | 03 May 2016 11:53 a.m. PST |
How do you legitimize a coup? |
Mithmee | 03 May 2016 12:23 p.m. PST |
I don't know how Baratheon was choosen… Well after he won the rebellion, he made himself King. Tywin Lannister decided smartly not to contest this since he would have been far out number. But he did get Robert to take his daughter as Queen. |
Winston Smith | 03 May 2016 1:25 p.m. PST |
Tywin backed the rebellion at the very last minute (and I wonder why he was not called "The Late Tywin Lannister per Walder Frey…) and sacked King's Landing when the Mad King let him in. Jaime had slain the Mad King, and could not inherit. That scratched Lannisters off the list. Robert had won every battle, save one against Randyll Tarly. Ned didn't want it. Robert had a Targaryean aunt to give him a veneer of legitimacy. It usually takes another generation or two to legitimize a Usurper. Like Henry V vs IV. |
Tango01 | 03 May 2016 3:10 p.m. PST |
Many thanks… it is difficult for those who not read the books!… So, Baratheon house didn't exist yet… with the poor little girl child put on fire…. Tommen is a "pure" Lannister…they desapear or they have some place on the kingdon with more relatives?… Amicalement Armand |
Winston Smith | 03 May 2016 4:47 p.m. PST |
Technically, Tommen IS a Baratheon. If we were to look for surviving Lannisters to succeed Tommen, it would be acknowledging his illegitimacy. There is no path for a Lannister to be an heir. They are not in the picture. Of course, the Targaryeans had no claim either. They conquered 6 petty kingdoms and Dorne 300 years ago. The only way for a Lannister to gain the crown is by conquest. There are plenty of Lannister cousins, but none have a claim. |

The witch said she'd only have three. Witches are never wrong. I read it on the internet. |
Winston Smith | 04 May 2016 5:19 a.m. PST |
Armand. Robert has been dead five years. Not even the dimmest Westerosi peasant would believe a brand new baby from Cersei was a Baratheon. If Cersei, widowed, had another child it would be regarded as either a bastard or a product of incest or both. Tywin was not interested in her producing another heir. He had Joffret and Tommen at the time. He wanted to bring the Tyrells and Lannisters closer. And besides, Lannisters have no claim to the Throne whatsoever. It would go "to the strongest" in a civil war. Unless some convenient Targaryean heir pops up. |
Tango01 | 04 May 2016 10:33 a.m. PST |
Thanks again John!. (smile) I have the wrong thought that if she married Tyrell boy… and made their business with her brother… well, maybe a new possible king… but as I said… I was wrong… The Targaryean…. wasn't all of them dead (save Kaleesy and her brother)? Amicalement Armand |
Winston Smith | 04 May 2016 11:22 a.m. PST |
There are fan "theories" that there are more Targs around than you think. 1. Jon Snow is really the son of Rhaegar Targaryean and Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister. This will probably be confirmed Sunday night. 2. Tyrion could be the child of Aerys the Mad King and Joanna Lannister, Lord Tywin's wife. 3. A wild one from the book. Possibly Varys substituted some poor peasant baby for the son of Rhaegar that the Mountain killed. This is the Aegon Theory. He could also be a fake. The show has not bothered with this theory yet and possibly will not. And there is Danaerys, with no doubt about her being a Targaryean. |
Winston Smith | 04 May 2016 11:28 a.m. PST |
One other thing to consider is how many main characters had their mothers die giving birth to them. Tyrion, famously. Jon Snow, if Lyanna is his mother. Tune in Sunday. Not confirmed in books yet. Danaerys Stormborn. Perhaps….. All will be made clear when we have three dragons needing three riders. |
Tango01 | 05 May 2016 10:38 a.m. PST |
Thanks John… Well, he have the three riders… Danaerys, John Snow and Tyrion… but could appeared another Dragon?… Amicalement Armand |
Winston Smith | 05 May 2016 12:02 p.m. PST |
The only way another dragon would appear would be if George got a blazing insight that he had to introduce yet another pointless plot digression, with even more previously unknown characters. Likelihood? 99.9999% unlikely. And if he does in a snit over how HBO is wandering from his outline and slashing needless threads, HBO will ignore it. |
Mithmee | 05 May 2016 5:14 p.m. PST |
All will be made clear when we have three dragons needing three riders. Actually two riders since Bran will more than likely gain control of the Male Dragon. Though he might have Danaerys ride him. Oh and I think that they are going to keep Jon's mother a secret right now. But the one thing that we do know that Ned is not his father. So it would appear that Lyanna who was promised to Robert saw that he was a drunkard and ran off with Rhaegar. Ned knew this and has kept that a secret for 18 years. But here is now things will end. Gendry will end up marrying Danaerys. Gendry is a Baratheon but he is not his father. Danaerys has the best claim to the throne but she will need a husband and Gendry is the best fit for that. Bran will end up with control of the Male Dragon. Jon Snow will remain the Commander of the Night Watch but he will change things and the Wildings will make up the majority of the Night Watch and individuals will be allowed to haves wives. Sansa will show that she has learned quite well on how of play the Game of Thrones. She die have two great teachers, Tyrion and Littlefinger. Oh and she will more than likely end up married to Theon and will rule Winterfell and the North. Arya, will learn how to kill and when she gets back she will hook up with her Direwolf, which should have a large pack of wolves following her. Cersei is not going to survived and more than likely will be kill by Jaime. Jaime might end up surviving though this is not certain. Tyrion or Jaime will take over control Castle Rock. |
