Well, more of a "jet pack you stand on" than a BttF2 hoverboard, but
1.) it flies 2.) you stand on it 3.) it doesn't have wings 4.) it's not connected to a ground power or control source 5.) and you take off from the ground on it and land on the ground on it.

Don't know if there's any military application for this, aside from making the user a nice, high target… still, here's the next iteration of the "rocket trooper"/"jump trooper".
