Just reading through the first book of the Raven series by Richard Kirk, and so far it's a decent wee story. It's a really nicely-realised world with some great quirks, and the characters are likable enough so far. It's pretty trashy and naive, but I guess that makes for a lot of good Sword and Sorcery; the self-appointed underdog of the fantasy genre. Anyway, has anyone who've read the books considered ever gaming based on this world? Just thinking it would be quite fun; Xandrians on their giant cows thundering into battle, beastmen etc. I'd need to find a suitable figure for Raven of course- something akin to the Chris Achilleos' paintings (or Kate Bush's Babushka outfit). I'm guessing my old figure of that elf ranger character WD gave away for Mordheim would be suitable for Spellbinder. It may never happen; certainly not any time soon for myself, but has it crossed anybody else's mind? |

I did a map of the Worldheart Ocean a few years ago. link And as far as miniatures of Raven goes – unless she looks like Kate Bush the mini is 'inaccurate' :)
