Most gaming groups seem meet evenings and weekend. I recently attend a Sunday session and most of the gamers were at or past retirement age. As I draw near retirement I was wondering if there are any group that meet during the normal working hours?

Anyone have any experience with that?

Thanks,

Vince

We have a local group that meets during the day during summer vacation. It is made up of teachers who have that time off, people who take vacation days and a few retired.
I do not think that the retired folks in the greater area live close enough together to game on a regular basis.

My friend Bob & I are retired & get together regularly on Weekday afternoons to play, mostly DBA, sometimes TSATF. Leaves the weekends free to do family stuff.

The Fencibles are largely retired and gather on Thursday afternoons instead of evenings.

Our group normally meets every 1st and 3rd Saturday for "club" games. But I'm soon to retire and my already retired long-time gaming buddy and I will be doing some smaller games at his house during the week once the glorious event occurs.

I belong to a club, with about 20 members, that meets once a month on Sundays- mixture of retired (three or four) and a much larger number who are still in full-time work. My regular weekly gaming is with a group of 6, three of us are fully retired, one runs his own business and the others have flexible jobs. In the winter we meet during the day, in the summer we play in the evenings.

Soon our 3rd Thursday evening group will expand to a Tuesday Morning group.

I used to have a weekday board game group that consisted of retired, unemployed and self employed gamers. We met when enough of us had the same free day.

This is all good info for me. I have not been able to give up family time weeknights and weekends and was hoping for some post-retirement daytime activates.
