HG is in a position of authority. I will be one of his minions.

Supercilius Maximus29 Apr 2016 2:38 p.m. PST

Which would make him "Despicable HG"?

"Which would make him "Despicable HG"?"

Oh, we call him that and other things…

historygamer02 May 2016 5:33 a.m. PST

I'm going to steal the moon. Ssshhh.

Rawdon02 May 2016 7:11 p.m. PST

I feel sorry for them. It rained all weekend.

Virginia Tory03 May 2016 6:27 a.m. PST

Nope, really only rained from Saturday night through to Sunday AM. Stopped around lunchtime, so we were able to do our thing both days (Sunday AM skirmish was out, though).

From Saturday--the bayonet charge that finished off the rebels.

It was fun indeed .
Though the "battle "on Sunday was a little one-sided .
10 muskets and 4 officers vs 175 insurgents (doodles) and 2 artillery a side . we offered to have a couple of the muskets sit to make it fairer but the rebels said no .

The funniest part of the whole weekend was on Saturday night when it started to drizzle and the British units that pride themselves on being campaigners all left(most anyway ) and went home because it was raining. Their new name is Camplainers

Yep. That happened at Ticonderoga, too, assuming we are talking about the same unit…

We are indeed . if you mean the 17th foot . In their defense they likely had a late night sewing party to attend .

Did HG steal the moon?

Either the astrological object or the bateaux?

Don't think he did steal the moon, but he thought about playing the rusty trombone .

I think my mount is expressing my feelings on all this:

historygamer -- superb photographs! Great inspiration for all the 28mm AWI figure painting I have yet to complete.

historygamer05 May 2016 5:56 a.m. PST

They are nice photos of part of the battle.

grtbrt05 May 2016 10:19 a.m. PST

very nice photos. I even spotted a young marine ensign in photo 307(upper left side ).
I enjoyed the photo of the bayonet advance -even if discipline had broken and most british had broken formation to run while charging .( a pet peeve of mine ,along with how most units wheel )
