The campaign is about Armada and Two Hours Wargames, using 5150 Star Navy rules. (wargamesinhk.blogspot.hk/2016/04/star-wars-campaign-at-edge-of-empire_13.html)

I will use Star Wars armada ships and shooting rules (dice, …) and THW for most of the reaction mechanics.

turn2, battle 1.
Near the world of Roganah,
Rebels are rushing to retrieve critical crates hidden in space.
Sold by some traitors, the Imperial navy is dispatching units in the area.
This is now a race

The imperial pressure on the Candor system is increasing.
Reinforced by elements of the system fleet,
the Rebel have decided to engage an imperial strike force
for the control of a small outpost at the edge of sector 4…

I like your campaign so far. How did you determine the starting ships and cards? I get the fighters, just not the ships.

MontiboyHK04 Jun 2016 5:37 a.m. PST

For the starting ships, I assigned ISD/VSD and MonCal/Frigate as a by default.
I used 2 posts (and maybe not clearly shared how they related)

Then, there was a fleet building phase here:

Starting force (turn 0)
6+2d6 EMPIRE. Rolled 15
6+1d6 REBEL. Rolled 6
Each named system has: 1d6-1 garrison

The table used was: Reinforcing fleet, (table 3, here)

Intel Sweep. 2 corvettes supported by a large force of starfighters engage in a deadly battle.

Thanks.

Concluding turn 2, a scenario mission.

The scenario:
The Imperial spy network has sent the coordinates of the local Rebel Alliance HQ. Over there, Bud, the local corvette and a force of starfighters were preparing for their next strike. Knowing that the Rebel believed to be safe, the Imperial sent 2 freighters loaded with Tie Figthers to approach the base while a corvette with 2 squadrons of Tie Advanced were about to arrive from hyperspace on the other side, trapping the rebel before they could react.
Will the Empire triumph?
Rule: The rebel cannot win initiatives (play before) over the imperial in the first 2 turns. Initiative is rolled as usual to test if rebel are passive or active. The first reinforcement from the station arrive on turn 3.

Armada miniatures in general are great.
But I think "very" few if any have matched them for over all detail and just general 'look' of their fighter 'squardrons'.
Making them vary in the way in which the fighters fit each stand, is a really nice touch on their part.

Turn 3: Rebel convoy under attack

link

The Imperial fleet was lurking in the dark emptiness of space.
They had set a spy device in the middle of nowhere.
Intel networks had discovered that an important rebel convoy consisting would be transiting on that exact location.
