For those who missed it the first time around, here's a little tribute to the fabulous Lydecker Brothers, who did all those miniatures and flying effects for the great Republic serials, back in the thirties and forties, without the time--and definitely without the lavish budgets--of today's model makers.
Lots of amazing pics online of them building their models. There's a 2010 book about them, too.

As I always tell my wife "Every great movie has miniatures in them" She still doesn't like my hobby, but at least I get a pass. Thanks Tango!

The Raiders one isn't a model used in the film but just something for Spielberg to get his camera angles right with.
