The new, and possibly last, season of Turn is out. I am looking forward to it. Its not great TV, but it has grown on me (like Ripper Street and Copper)

DVRed it last night. My wife and I like it for what it is.

Glad it is back.

Actually, I think they do a pretty decent job of story telling, and acting.

I really like Ian Kahn as Washington.

I enjoy it, glad it is in for 3 seasons. Hope they are able to wrap up the story line, but possibly have a 4th.

What's not to like? As a former Long Islander, its the opnly show on TV about Setauket!

We (wife and I) really enjoy the show and was excited to see it return last night. I especially enjoy the "Robert Rodgers" character…makes me want to read more about him. I just know of his exploits from the French and Indian War.

Robert Rodgers was not nearly as despicable as they make him out to be in Turn. Certainly a man of inspiration and many faults, but not to this level. A tragic figure in many ways.

Was Simcoe a blatant psychopath? The portrayal of George III at the start of the 2nd season was a bit over the top. It was later that he lost his mind.

Still, they have the uniforms and some names of real people. The actual history mixed in with trash and soap opera keeps me watching.

DVR'ed it last night. One of my favorites, along with "Bates Motel", "Damien", "Vikings", and "The Americans". "Turn" is fascinating and makes me do more research and study into that era and the Culper ring itself. If a show like this (some say it is a soap opera, etc.) spurs interest in American history and the American Revolution by the general public, then that is a bonus for everybody. Also, I am interested in Simcoe and his place. As vtsaogames asked, was Simcoe a psycho? Questions like that compel me to dig further into Simcoe's actual role during this part of our history…

first season was ok, second season much better. everything I've read about Simcoe compares him to Tarleton. So I guess it depends on who wrote what your reading.
