Must admit I've toyed with the idea of adding some, err, fictional designs to my War Of The Roses range, but Alps printing doesn't handle grey well, which would be an issue…. This would be awesome. Regarding grey, there's also depictions of the Stark sigil as a black direwolf on white in some of the FFG art and elsewhere. Not perfectly 'canon' but would be easier to print! I'd prefer that over the tv-style wolfshead, at any rate. -Will |

Just reviewed and attempted to order the "German" Ice and Fire decals etc. Look good except that some are based on the HBO art and not the book art. Not sure order went through though as all communications are in German which only my wife can read. Worth exploring another set based just on book art (see World of Ice and Fire for "real" hearldy etc.) Much prefer book art versions. TomT |

I've been using both the German companies transfers and shield decals with great success. Also have used "Flags" for banners etc. Both are very good. Will be on display at NashCon and Historicon in our Battle for Iron Throne using A Game of Fire and Ice. One note German firm has German instructions. You must paint the sheild white first as part of decal is clear and will show underlying color. Must also cut to fit (some shield decals are slightly smaller than shields so you have to paint the edges). Overall designs are well done. Thomas J. Thomas

Should mention that I used to use more genric Veni Vidi Vici. They work too, and come in several colors. They cover only some of the needed hearderly though and that in more genric symbols. (They do have a nice Lighting Lord though.) TomT |
