My personal taste has moved on from(mostly)single based figures of the old Warhammer type of game to one unit, one base. Maybe I'm a lazy old s** but even the advent of movement bases dosn't seem to help. So with due reluctance I have decided to go through the onerous task of re-doing my late Roman/Hun/Visigothic 28mm armies onto Impetus size bases, though my prefered rules are To The Strongest. The Late Roman cavalry are done so here are a few pics for those that are interested: Sorry guys, here is a link to the blog, I'll give it another go with the photos later: link Dave. |

Sadly, I can't see the pics unless I dally with google. John T |

Sadly, I can't see the pics unless I dally with google. Well, actually, the 3 links to pictures are giving "404 Not Found" errors, which is nothing to do with Google but simply means that the file that the link points to is either non-existent or actually somewhere else. Happily, the 4th link (to the blog) works fine and you can see the pictures there. EDIT: well it did until the OP replaced it with another picture link that doesn't work for the same reason as the others! |

Looking very good Dave! I covet a unit of Taifali myself, they have such a great shield design. You anywhere near Cardiff? We have a fun tournament there on 21st May, and I'll be playing Late Romans. Best, Simon |

Thanks guys, got there in the end. Wish I was near Simon, I'd love to join in but Northumberland is about as far from there as you can be without getting into the drafty land of those kilted boys further north! Hope it goes well. Dave. |

Right Dave… not that local, then. ;-) Thanks! |

They are lovely figures, I quite like the way you've put the unit title on the base, because it's a big base the words aren't that intrusive. |

I do like the unit names on if possible, it gives the little guys a bit more 'personality' and you care just that little bit more about their welfare. Dave. |

Yes and the Latin names of the units are wonderful. Makes one want to collect the whole Notitia. :-) |
