Just got the new Sharp Practice rules and I think I can make a decent sized force from either the Warlord or Perry plastics. For those who have these figures, which do you think is best – or are they about equal? One more question, I have heard that some of the Perry metal ranges now have problems with flash and pitting; has anyone seen this on their metal AWI figures? |

I have put together hundreds of both Warlord and Perry. I like them both. For ease of construction I vote for Perry. If you are willing to do some army switches with either the American or British box you can get more poses. Of course that entails a little filing on some cuffs. You will not get a firing position out of them. Warlord are really fiddly (for my old eyes and hands) but you do get a better array of poses. The British are in the 63 warrant but that does not bother me. I also prefer the Perry round bases as opposed to the square platforms that come with Warlord. Also Warlord has Indians and militia and Hessians. I guess that's why I ended up with hundreds of both mfgs. I doubt this is all that helpful; but I hope it is. H |

They mix together fine. Either or both is a good choice. The only thing is if you absolutely hate gluing models then maybe not for you. I personally find them very easy to assemble and once painted they look very good indeed. |

This has been discussed in a number of prior threads. The current Warlord offerings consist of the previous Wargames Factory British, Continental, Colonial Militia and Indian sets, plus the artillery and Hessian sets that WF had not released when they struck their deal with Warlord. |

Thanks to Ferd45231, Bashytubits and Bill N. I now feel able to make an informed decision, especially having looked at previous threads as advised by Bill N. Hope to be able to see the Perry stuff first hand on Saturday. |
