Although it is some weeks from now, the preparations are started.

On the 2nd of July I organise a grand game Rapid Fire Arnhem 1944 at the Rijnhotel Arnhem, just below the St Elisabethsgasthuis.
it will be a 20mm game as on the 2nd of January this year.
There will be a combination of scenarios, so there is enough for many players.
It will be from 0830 till midnight, so i hope to give you a big AAR afterwards.

if interested, send me a PM.

Impression of the 2nd of january

I'm sure I've seen that woman before somewhere…oh yeah…at breakfast this morning.
Unfortunately I think we're going to be in Spain on 2nd July, so we'll miss the game.
Arnhem geeks may be interested to know that what is now the NH Rijn Hotel was known as the Rhine Pavilion in 1944 and was a significant location in the battle.

Yippee! We're going to be there after all.

Going to Spain shortly thereafter for a week with the grandchildren…and the children too I suppose, but who cares about them?

We have at this moment four games by 4 clubs:

The Brotherhood (Belgium) Joe's bridge
The Hired Guns uden (Netherlands) Hell's Highway
Jurrie's team (Netherlands) battle around Elst
and Arnhem 1944

So it looks good….

Hope to be ready for the 2nd…

These buildings did stand between the station area and the Rijn, now gone:

Yes i hope so too.
Only printing is an issue now, so i hope to have it ready before the 2nd

The Rijn block Roermondsplein has been printed, less one building and the cornergap. The last has to be designed yet.

The newly designed Kleine Eusebieus Kerk (Little Eusebius church), which stood between the station and the Roermondsplein.

With the Hotel Soleil just south of the church as it is planned on the table.
