Around six years ago or so I started venturing into the 18th century ImagiNations exciting world, by creating a what-if Catalonia (euphemistically nicknamed The Defiant Principality) and plunging it into the last steps of War of Spanish Succession: what-if-catalonia.blogspot.com
Having been welcome into the Emperor vs Elector community and warmly encouraged by them, I then started enjoying one my most exciting, intense gaming periods along with a gaming mate. We not only did run a long term wargaming campaign (that lasted for 3 years!), but also met the complicity of other local gaming groups who ran side skirmish actions, or RPG adventures directly related to the campaign mainstream events --all ruled in a story-telling format from our blog. Involvement even came to attract occasionally a few 'Emperor vs Elector' members from other countries, who endeavored some proxy wargaming with brilliant results.
Things came to an end apparently, a couple of years ago --when both my gaming mate and myself got troubled with that kind of life issues no one can neglect, so that we had to give it up.
I'm happy today because, once sorted out our issues, the original Defiant Principality team has gathered again --even adding a third member to crew, an experienced RPG master with new ideas We've chosen not to re-take the campaign at the point where we left it (a battle a few miles away from Barcelona, link ), but to take advantage of its aftermath and the season when it happened for deciding that both parties had had enough of war. So we're going to re-start from a point a bit later, once the Treaty of Rastatt has been signed at last.
For those with curiosity (and the patience needed for reading a non-native English text!), this is the international setup we've imagined for our Revenant Principality:

Needless to say that ideas, criticisms and contributions are welcome --otherwise, I'd have shut my mouth up.
PS: during those two long years of inactivity, some links in the blog entries went broken. While slowly identifying and fixing them, I've happened to draw some 18th century flag plates that some might find useful:
Except for those strictly related to our own what-if Nation, plates do not deal with military colors but with Land flags and Naval ensigns instead.
Fun is not just painting and gaming, but also writing and even drawing!
