Iīve decided to start painting a Night Goblin Warband for Dragon Rampant. The list: Skarsnik & Gobbla (6 points): ofenssive heavy foot Night Goblins (3 points): light foot Night Goblins with blowpipes (2 points): scouts Squigs (4 points): bellicose foot Stone Trolls (6 points): ofensive heavy foot Spider Riders (4 points): heavy cavalry Skarsnik, Gobbla, the squigs (9 squigs/3 squig hoppers) and the trolls are the classic figures. For the goblins I will use Black Tree figures and the spider riders will be a conversion of the Skull Pass box ones. Just some WIP for now: link Hope you find the project interesting! ;-) |

I like the oval spider bases, but think the more circular ones might be more appropriate for what is essentially a monster and not traditional cavalry. |

I have twelve of the little eight-legged rascals, and I used the round bases – as noted, gives them less of a traditional cavalry feel |

I prefer the oval as it fits the shape better. I've just based a unit of spider riders myself, on 50mm by 25mm pill bases (like oval with straight sides). They are quite a tight fit on that size base. |

I like the oval base, it has an illusory effect of lengthening the reach of those front legs. Makes them more menacing? Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of this project. Cheers, RC. |

Yes the oval bases are nice touch. I need to pick up Dragon Rampant. I have Lion Rampant and love the game. Yet I hear so many good things about Dragon Rampant and that some historical gamers like Dragon Rampant better for their Medieval games. |
