Hi there I found this pic, which I haven't seen before.

I'm guessing it the new-model uniformed troops of Muhammed Ali of Egypt during or after his Sudan campaign.

The mostly-red and mostly-back uniforms would look spectacular in mass.

The evidence speaks for itself.

My Tribbles seem to like 'em.

I didn't realize Star Trek re-runs influenced 19th century Egyptian uniforms as well.

Mine get completely ignored whilst I paint with Next Generation running in the background.

I moved to my new house about a year ago. We have cable here, where we did not before. Cable has Star Trek reruns on it. Both our pets died since we moved.

etotheipi might I ask what type of pets were they?

For myself I'm slowly going over the loss of my Beloved Cat who passed last June 10th.

I still grieve for her every single day but it varies from day to day and there has not been a day since her death that I've not thought of her.

We had an Alaskan Malamute, who died at 13, which is quite old for the species, and a rescued grey Calico who died at 15. We miss them both. I still blame Star Trek and cable television for the whole thing.

etotheipi I thank you for letting me know I had my Cat for around about 13 years and she might've been slightly older than that when she came to me.

.. original Star Trek; or the later Star Trek Lite?

Bashytubits24 Apr 2016 8:08 p.m. PST

Both.

The bug had fun with that.

Yes.
And obviously, the red guys die first.

Bashytubits30 Apr 2016 10:22 p.m. PST

I hate talking to cats, highly illogical.
