Hi folks!

I'm a southern CT resident and I've been wanting to get into historical wargaming; mostly the late medieval period. There isn't much in the way of a historical scene down here; most of what you can expect is Warhammer 40k, and usually my local shop is populated with Magic players instead of miniature gamers.

I'm curious if there are any clubs or individuals around the Fairfield County region that are into historical games, or if I'm better off crossing my fingers for a convention each year.

There is the Connecticut Game Club which meets once a month in Stratford. The website is ctgameclub.org

They have a monthly index of the events hosted each month. If you look at the prior months, you can get a feel of what goes on. There are board games and usually a few miniature games as well.

They also have a Facebook page you can check out. Great bunch of guys.

Also, if you haven't heard, the NJCON convention is coming up in June. It's in Edison, NJ, but it's only about an hour and a half drive from southern CT. Tons of historical miniature games. They also have a website you can check out.

Hope this helps.

There a club in the Hudson Valley that meets at least once a month. (We have games once a month on a Sat and during the week.
Mostly historic scenarios with some Steam Punk and Pulp added to the mix.
We meet at various locations:
Danbury Conn. Two locations, at a members house and at the Military Museum
Wappinger Falls NY
Stormville NY

We get together several times a year at my house in Yonkers New York (Westchester County). We're very eclectic, but I enjoy Wars of the Roses in 15mm, and am working on a campaign based on AH Kingmaker. Contact me at Daly68@aol.com if interested.

The CGC, as mentioned, is a good place to start. Barry and I are both in tiny Bridgewater, CT (just North of Danbury/Brookfield in Fairfield County), and play every 1-2 months.

An idea of the scope of my interests, almost all Historical, can be obtained from my blog;

We also play with the very loosely organized Hartford Area Historical Gaming Society, and are sponsoring a huge Napoleonic event in Manchester, CT on Sunday, May 1st:

We can still take a few aditional players if you're interested!
