"Bosnia's "Indiana Jones" of archaeology claims to have found a massive, mysterious sphere embedded in the ground in a forest in Bosnia.

The controversial archaeologist, Semir Osmanagich, wrote in a blog that the sphere dates back more than 1,500 years and is "the most massive stone ball in Europe." He estimates the sphere weighs some 30 tons or more.

Osmanagich said he discovered the sphere in the village of Podubravlje, near Zavidovici, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and his estimates show it has a radius of between 1.2 to 1.5 meters (about 3 feet, 11 inches to about 4 feet, 11 inches)…"

Hello,

I have updated Parade Ground with 3 more finished bases/units of 20mm Newline African Pikemen. I'm using them as Seleucid Phalangites but left them very generic so can be used for any Hellenistic army fielding pikes. I hope you enjoy these miniatures they worked nicely with citadel washes. More pics on:showparade.blogspot.co.uk

Thanks and all the best,

Tone

Bug aside, nice work.

I like the mirror-polished shields. I never would have tried that myself, because I would have immediately dismissed the idea of undecorated push-pins as "unrealistic", but it actually looks really nice. Now I may have to try that myself. Maybe some silver push-pins are in order for the argyraspids…

Those 'shields' are fantastic… I am going to do this!

As far as giant rock spheres in Bosnia?-- clearly it was aliens…

Thanks for the kind comments. I was debating whether to add some kind of shield device, but it came down to not wanting to spoil the shininess. I have some silver ones ready for the Argyraspides, just need to get them painted up.
