As part of my Indian Mutiny campaign I gamed the British attempt to garrison the city of Krishnapur. Things went a bit awry for Brigadier Wilson as you can see.

The campaign is heating up and I had forgotten just how good campaign gaming can be. The rules were Piquet Field of Battle.

Does FOB have lists for the Mutiny? Nice looking figs.

Marvellous. I like what you are doing very much and it's good to see AAR on the battles. Great presentation and photographs on your blog site. Thanks for sharing.

I'm developing an interest on this subject having been inspired by Iron Duke Miniatures range of 28mm figures, but I like your choice of nicely painted figures as well.

Glad you like the toys lads I'm pleased with them.

FOB doesn't have a list for the Mutiny you can see my take on the Mutineers on my blog. The Sepoys are British regulars without an effective command structure above battalion level. Also once the British adopt the Enfield rifle the Sepoy has inferior armament. FOB can accommodate all that nicely, its also not a hard and fast list rule set. You can rate them as you see fit.

Much appreciated Captain its my first blog and I'm glad you like the approach. The Mutiny is a great period to game and there are some fantastic 28mm figures about now.

One of the good things about doing the Mutiny in 15mm is that Irregular, Dixon, QRF, Minifigs and Black Hat are all compatible.

Excellent blog, keep it up! I do Sikh War in 28mm using Old Glory figs mostly and find the battles can be very close run things, especially as the British are usually attacking.

Always thought the Mutiny might be fun to game too but too many projects, not enough time or money.

I will keep following the progress of the campaign, good luck with it.

Thanks very much and I will.

Yeah time money and space are the great inhibitors. If you feel yourself weakening Irregular Miniatures do a very good 15mm army deal for the Mutiny.

mgh: Not to thread-nap,but I'd love to hear how you do your Sikh Wars. I love the period, and it looks to be small enough to do large battalions--I'd go for 32-fig units. Maybe you could start a thread on what you do?

mghFond23 Apr 2016 9:35 a.m. PST

Not sure it's worth a new thread but I do infantry units of 3 stands each 6 figs to a stand. Cav 3 stands of 3 figs, batteries of 1 gun and 3 crew. Individually mounted generals.
I have my own set of rules but not real satisfied with them. We lately have used Black Powder (not a fave of mine but we finish a game in one night and that's important). One thing I change is you fire first then move. Can't stand moving up to a defender with 2 or 3 moves then blasting him pointblank with fire while he stands there watching.

Keeping it at least a bit on topic, I forgot in my previous post to mention I really like the Indian city walls too.

Thanks. I like the city walls too,saw them on a previous OB post.
