"We have shedloads of WW2 rules, and quite a few modern sets. But there isn't many that specifically focus on armoured warfare. Yes, we have tanks in those WW2 games (Bolt Action, FoW etc) but they are part of a whole. I'd like a game specifically focussed on tanks, with infantry merely playing a supporting role. Think Warmachine; solos and casters are detailed, whilst "grunts" are generic groups. Given that there are so many miniatures around, and everyone loves tanks (if you don't, your man-cave privileges are permanently revoked). So why don't we have more games that focus on them?…" See here link Amicalement Armand |

Double huh! Wasn't this Micro-Armor originally. |

Triple, huh. There are any number of tank focused miniatures and board games I can point to and Tanks about to come out from Gale Force Nine. It's not exactly an area that has been ill-served. |

I'd say yes, generally, if you are talking at the tank to tank level, for a tanker's eye view of the battlefield, stalking the enemy while trying to survive your combat mission. |

I'd say because such a game would be kind of silly. Fun maybe, but silly. If you want to just game tanks and ignore infantry use any rules you like – Flames of War, Command Decision, Mein Panzer, etc. etc. etc. There are probably 50 to choose from including Tractics and Tank Charts. I want a game that only focuses on artillery and makes tanks and infantry "generic groups." |

EC, I suspect that the only way to play the game you're describing is at 1:1 scale. BWW |

I recall Jim Dunnigan or somebody in S&T long ago saying maybe someday they'd do a really "realistic" game in which tanks and infantry would play their actual roles "as artillery targets to be crushed". |

I agree with hafen. I remember when Panzerblitz came out the wargame wags dubbed it "Panzerbush." When Panzer Leader came out the wags dubbed it "Panzergun." In the latter game if you had a scenario where one side drew the ire of Divisional artillery, it was a very very bad day. If corps, Army and Group artillery got involved-- who needs nuclear weapons. |

HUH +1 (lost track). Silliest premise I've ever heard. A minimum of search shows the opposite more likely to be true. |

I actually commented on this on the blog that this isn't exactly a new concept, but never got a response. |
