I have actually camouflaged miniatures so well that I couldn't see them from the other side of the game table. Those were micro scale vehicles without stands.

Well, butter my guinea pig! This topic makes much more sense now.

@Glenn: I once painted my 40K Eldar army the same color as my gaming table, table and all, with just some details picked out. My friends with poor eyesight would frequently miss seeing a unit standing right in front of them.

I would still lose a lot.
