Salutations, One and All,

Another productive painting bout: this time, Martian irregular militia.

I thought they were considered 25mm.

Nicely done, of course.

"I used an elf from the old Grenadier line."

Is that the same sculptor as the RAFM Martians? I knew he did Elves, but sure which.

They *are* considered 25mm… to me, that means Martians stand about 5' tall, and 25mm Martians look about right compared to 28mm humans. I also use 15mm miniatures aa halflings for my 28mm forces…

Beautifully done figures but, are not martians supposed to be red?

Tom Reed18 Apr 2016 1:30 p.m. PST

Not in the Space 1889 Universe. Martians call people from earth red men because our skin is much deeper in hue than theirs. The Martians are all shades of yellow./

Thank'ee, Gents.

Doug – you're correct, they're officially 25mm. I think I've been succesfully brain-washed into viewing 25mm and 28mm as essentially compatible.

Yes – I believe the sculptor was Bob Murch. We should pester him to make more "space elves" to go with the RAFM line. >;D

Tom – thank you for fielding that red vs yellow issue.

Best regards,
Keith F.

Lucky man! To SO avoid the angst that troubles so many of your fellow gamers here. ;->=

Of course, Punkrabbit is even more adaptable; except for the Kraag dwellers, I thought all Martians were tall.

(And, yes, I looked it up in Space 1889 AND own RAFM-produced official humans…)

Edit:

We should pester him to make more "space elves" to go with the RAFM line.

I know some pulp players that would be seriously incensed if we did…

You know. 'Get a rope…'
