I have a slight advantage that some of these shots were taken before the doors opened.

Thanks! Nice clear photos. What camera did you use? |

Nice pics, John. Didn't see any of this myself. It's always the same for me at Salute. I have to wait for the photos to see the games because I can never get away from the stand to actually see them on the day. Doug |

Thanks, all @Schogun I have a couple but my 'go to' for shows is my Sony RX100M3. Zeiss lens and lots of pixels and not cheap but small and handy and excellent in low light (useful, ahem, at Salute!). The shots I've quickly posted are at about 25% size and unadjusted for anything in Photoshop (I will do that later but haven't had time yet!) John Treadaway |

Intrigued by the gun race game. Any info on it (rules? figures?)??? |

Interesting that gamers set up before the doors open. Our local conventions are all participation games so everyone is allowed to enter. Those who set up and run games along with gamers. I'm guessing because many of the Salute games are presentation games this is the reason? Nice photos, thanks for posting. |

Nope, the balance – maybe even the majority – are participation games. The show opens to the public at 10am but there's access from 7.30 or so or even the afternoon before by arrangement to give gamers time to set up their tables. But a couple of hours is usually enough, even with elaborate scenery (like the game with the lava volcano with the dry ice or the Trek game with webcams, monitors and a router broadcasting the images to passing phones). I got there at 9am to set up and see the table for the first time :) At this time the crowd was growing by the minute to nearly fill the spare starting area. I was right next to the entrance and at 10am I would never been able to get near the table to play or evening set up due to crowds coming in. Talking to poeple about the table (4grounds 15mm Jessari for our Hammer Slammers Game). I regularly asked people if they wanted to join in as our game was a participstion game (as were about 40 plus at the show) for a turn but most wanted to look and go shopping. Unfortunately we were down to two of us to run the table (two being ill) so when we had our half hour to go and a quick look at the show the table stalled for about an hour. Overall I had a cracking six plus hours playing the Slammers game and talking to lots of poeple about gaming. Cheers Matt |

Really like the tank-in-the-tunnel shot! That was one of Matt's Slammers Blowers in the very nicely built 4Ground scenery! John T |

Ah-hah, I'm seeing that scenery in the pic above the tunnel one. Very nice indeed, good work Matt. Cheers! |

Thanks for the pictures John; the last one of the ECW game is my favorite, what a brilliant series of terrain boards, just stunning……………. |
John Treadaway | 18 Apr 2016 3:29 p.m. PST |
@ Double G as a chap who has never played an ECW game in his life, the fact that I was stopped in my tracks long enough to actually take pictures of it and compliment the players says exactly how good it was IMHO John T |

John, Right there with you, ECW is not my thing, but wow, that terrain is just jaw dropping, thanks again for the picture, just brilliant…………… |

Thanks, John. A joy to view photos snapped by a gamer for other gamers to enjoy. |
