Thanks, that ground the Bulgarians traversed to attack – it seems to have a distinct lack of cover. No wonder they failed. I agree with you – they must have been awfully overconfident.

What an interesting battle and battlefield visit – I'd not known of it. Not the sort of ground I'd like to attack over. Thanks for the write-up – very interesting.
