Yes but almost all would be in camp unless some crazy siege was happening… of course this means attacking the camp is dangerous and explains one reason it was rare for Roman camps to be overrun. |

Trajanic period; mobility. Being higher means that they might be able to shoot over the heads of the legionaries. Can't have done much for accuracy, though. |

only if the cart is moving. non of weapons had any recoil to mention so the cart would be moving only when the men on them moved. |
