So, with the local club just about gone, lost my weekly gaming venue due to the place going out of business, I've decided I'm going to solo Antietam using "They Couldn't Hit An Elephant". Using mainly 1/72 plastics, I've begun the process of assembling the troops. Here's a pic of my start, this is all of Jackson's command (the CSA didn't use the Corps designation at the time), 4 divisions, 19 brigadiers and 84 regiments, a total of 15,543 effectives (using Scott Mingus' research) on 195 bases (151 4-figure infantry, 24 command stands down to the brigade commanders and 20 stands of artillery), about 690 or so figures.
Next up, laying out Stuart's cavalry and seeing what I have the Union's Corps available so far. I'm looking at starting the week of the 12th of September. Quite silly. But it being such a long game to play out, I can't see sucking anyone else in to this insanity. :-) |

John, have you considered running a portion of the game at Southern Front this year ? Perhaps Burnside's Bridge, or the E and W wood would make a decent game for a convention. You run an excellent game using TFL rules and I think it would work wonderfully. |

Thank you Ed. I have been considering it, and a subset like the Bridge would make a good convention game. |

Yes, I am madly buying on eBay and here to avoid painting 7,000 or so troops. And I thank you. :-) |
