My conundrum is that I have the rules but my unit sizes are mainly Principles of War (ie. 3-4 for Inf units, 2-4 for cavalry) whereas JC unit sizes are 3-4 times larger.

I don't have the time (young family), space (I live in a Hong Kong flat), money or inclination to expand my army sizes. So how playable are the rules if I downsized? Any other tips readers might have?

I have Indian armies for Clive (DBX bases), Sikh Wars & Indian Mutiny (both PoW bases).

I have a host of C19th Europeans (Crimea, 1859, 1866, FPW) for which I use an amended version of the Neil Thomas rules (fun game and easy-peasy for beginners to pick up which is important in a club where C19th might get 1-2 outings a year).

Cheers!
