Dear All,

A batrep of our refight of the cavalry raid to disrupt the Alesia blockade can be found here:

Thanks for the batrep – enjoyed reading about a 'cowardly' Roman defeat!

Question – locked shields option should allow the Romans to save on 3+, did you have a local amendment?

Just working on my first 28mm Gallic warband – planning on a small gallic force that can fight for Hannibal, Syracuse and the Etruscans.

Lovely – thanks. Was that played on a smaller table than usual ? And were you using the ranges as given in the book?

Thanks chaps!

My addled memory may be deceiving me – perhaps the dastardly Romans were saving on a 3+ !

We were playing on a 12 x 6 foot, but all the action ended up crammed down one end of the table, since the Gauls uncharacteristically passed all of their early movement orders!

Yes we were using standard ranges.

Inspiring. Hope you don't mind a acquiring a follower of your great Gaulish deeds. I won't sing, though, Cacofonix has nothing on me.

Great stuff. I've based my Gauls in the same manner and had my doubts about it. I'm glad to see that it works for others. My doubts have now been alleviated.
