Looks like the tech for jetpack technology is finally coming on line, offering extended endurance flight times of 10 – 30 minutes, instead of just 30 seconds, or so: link If you "…feel the need for speed", then you might prefer this option, of the flying wing, instead:
link Looks like that would be a bit more fun, for those that want to go faster, or who prefer traditional aerobatic maneuvers. And, if you don't want a jet pack, or ducted fans strapped to your back, and prefer a board under your feet, like the Green Goblin, or Silver Surfer flies, then consider this option, instead:
link Now, if they'll only make them affordable for the masses.

I've seen helo accidents, I'm not convinced that a jet pack can actually kill you better than a helo. |

I suspect it might be able to do so with a higher degree of certainty. Rather hard to auto-rotate a jetpack, or one of those little board things, I think. I'd love to fly like birdman, but would be okay with 007 James Bond-style flight too, if even for only a minute, or so. Given my few parachute jumps, I suspect all of the above must be truly exhilarating as well. |
