So many choices, So little money… Okay, we have some great humanoids, animal based humanoids, mech as, AFVs… What do we need next? Feel free to go "Wild Blue Yonder" but I think it is time for non-humanoids: Starfish race? Octopods? Flying creatures with wings, no arms – though hexapodal does sound interesting – and using tools in their manipulating "feet"/"talons"? Worms? I think there is something in 6mm but not aware of such in 15mm… Blobs and energy beings seem perfect for scratch building… Your ideas? |

Give me more early 40k proxies (orgyns), and I'd be happy. Too much hard sci-fi. I'm loving the Ion Age vibe. |

I also would like some more space opera style sci-fi, though less inspired by the middle ages and more by the iron age… I'd really like to paint up some "Alexander the Great in Space" type armies… since the differences between a sarissa and persian bow would be tricky to illustrate with weapons, the style of armor would have to indicate who was who to some degree…I also envision the persian stand-ins as being more multicultural/multispecies, with very advanced but flimsy vehicles, but whose infantry leave something to be desired, with the neo-makedonians being pretty much the exact opposite space romans a la Void Junkers would also make me a happy camper |

We are pretty spoiled. Would love to see the K'Kree and Zhodani re-released, especially the former. For the latter, I can make do with the Eureka Ventaurans in the interim, but would still like to see the real thing available again as well. |

Could have sworn most of the Enterprises' crews had been done in 15mm. The cat guy in the UK? Not so keen on energy beings, but something cloud-like, maybe some stretched cotton wool. Doug Edit: ST crew, Ogryn, Ventauran, Ikwen, Yan'drassi, and Chuhuac are all humanoid, by the way. I think Glenn indicated a desire for suggestions of 'others.' |

link One of my older posts on my Wordpress blog. The bottom pictures show some non-humanoid "Battlestations!" aliens I set up as an army for "Tomorrow's War". |
