Yeah, there's always some soldier sneaking around where women are bathing. It's a rule, especially within anime.

So I guess two walls of the bath house were destroyed in an artillery barrage?

I can accept the conceit at the center of the diorama, but I have a hard time with the bath house. One wall missing could make sense to me … not two.

The other wall is missing due to the bath house being right on the edge of the base, similar to those Black Dog bases which have part of a vehicle truncated at the edge of the base, and certain railway modellers who take the opportunity to make a full interior for all to see, without obstructions, when a building has one wall right on the edge of the layout.
The composition looks a bit off, though.
