I'd see this. Still in development but both participants have earned a look see.

Hmmmm…does not bode well.

Ben Affleck is a pretty good director. I enjoyed Argo. So there is that. He will not be in the film. He is a good actor but would probably look out of place if he appeared.

Well, Argo is the Canadian equivalent of U-571…

Citizens of Boston will welcome Damon, although he doesn't have the status of Mark Wahlberg, Affleck not so much. Dislike may not be a strong enough word for it.

Exactly. Can be a rough go in damp weather.

Lo what horror doeth approach.

I will be praying every night and every morning that the project falls apart. I don't know how many more movies American history can stand before It takes the gas pipe.

Well, a British studio could make their own AWI film using the point of view of the British soldiers.

Don't like it, then make your own.

Well, a British studio could make their own AWI film using the point of view of the British soldiers.

Given the left-wing leanings of those involved in fictional drama in the UK, they would probably show them shooting their officers in the back and then deserting to the enemy en masse. These are the sort of people who still can't relate us winning WW1 to the officer corps NOT being composed exclusively of upper class twits.

I'd sooner leave it to Hollywood – at least with its complete ignorance of US history there's a vague chance they could get it right by accident.
