I picked up River wars, and so far, I like it a lot. I had a couple of questions about the scenarios. Hopefully someone who has played them can clarify them for me, as far as balance/game play goes, on a 6' x 4' table.

Shelling the Forts – Are all 3 forts supposed to be on the same bank? About how far from the Union end of the table should they be?

Land the Troops – the scenario refers to an island. On a 6'x4' board, about how far up would you put the island, and which side would the Union enter on? With or without the current?

A Plum of an Assignment – Confederate forces listed are Maurepas, McRae, Sumpter, General Bragg, and General Earl Van Dorn, plus all 8 cottonclad rams. But Sumpter, Bragg, and Van Dorn are all listed as part of the 8 cottonclad rams in the ship diagrams. Are they counted twice, i.e. does it mean 5 gunboats plus 8 cottonclads, or 2 gunboats(Maurepas and McRae) and 8 cottonclads(including Sumpter, Bragg, and Van Dorn)?

Having a Party – When it says Arkansas is tied, does that mean it can't move for the scenario?

Thanks!
