This was the kind of weekend when real life has too many projects to dedicate any significant time to fun. But there was enough time to play around with a few things. First was setting up my table with a couple of ancient armies. Just what looked good, no rules in mind, although I will probably reset it with To The Strongest in mind to see how it plays. Then later I pulled out a few Deadlands minis and painted them up. I was impressed as to how easy it was to achieve a passable level. Then Sunday I took a few minutes to take some cardboard egg crating I had cut up and paint up a shell crater. So nothing concentrated, just touch and go on a few projects. Sometimes I will spend hours painting the same army over and over, and sometimes I just need to piddle. Pics:

Great idea to use the cardboard egg crate as a source for craters. |

That crater idea is genius. Well done! I definitely like the battle setup as well. Looks great! |
