Does anyone know if the Austrian cavalry regiments mounted their men on particular coloured horses by regiment or squadron? For example the French heavy cavalry tended to be mounted in black or dark brown horses ( as far as my reading shows so far!) anc the Light cavalry on a mixture if lighter coloured horses.

What about the Austrian cavalry of the Napoleonic and Revolutionarg periods?
