I enjoyed the book, it deserves to better known, since the author was killed in 1916 it is his lasting legacy.

I was mildly surprised to read that as the number one gun of his battery, Lintier's single 75mm gun and ammo caisson had an 18 man crew with 19 horses. That's impractical for a wargaming model but it would make a very impressive diorama :-)
