"Game of Thrones' last season ended with a lot of folks cast to the winds. Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) went for a Drogon ride and ended up back with the Dothraki. Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and co. were running Meereen in her absence. Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) had been imprisoned but done her walk of shame back to the Red Keep. Then "Reek" Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) were making a run for it. Oh, and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) was dead. He's still dead in this trailer for Season 6 of HBO's fantasy drama, and that's a shame—because it looks like he's going to miss a hell of a war. A girl (aka Maisie Williams' Arya Stark) is being given a second chance to maybe possibly exact more revenge, the Dothraki are gathering, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is seemingly threatening to kill the High Septon who caused Cersei such shame, and she, meanwhile, is requesting that Jaime (or maybe her son King Tommen) show people what Lannisters do to their enemies. But, as Davos reminds us, that's nothing. "The real war is between the living and the dead," he warns, "and make no mistake, the dead are coming." Chills…"

Look, we've talked about this.
Please don't put spoilers in the title. It was no spoiler for men but there are plenty of people who haven't read or watched this happen, so… just don't, Ok?

langobard12 Apr 2016 4:03 a.m. PST

How is it a spoiler if it is in a trailer????

Earl of the North12 Apr 2016 7:16 a.m. PST

I'm guessing the 'he's gone' is actually about Stannis rather Jon Snow, so the fact that they show Jon's bloody body in the snow shouldn't be a spoiler since it seems to be the same shot from the end of the last series….

Is there any one who is interested in the series that doesn't know Jon Snow is dead at this point?

Of course there could be new fans who are still going through the earlier series even though Jon's death is pretty widely known at this point so its not a good idea to post that as a topic title.

The question towards Jon Snow is of course will he stay dead, since we have his intact body (I believe there has been shown a clip off people defending his body) the means to resurrect him and the need for someone to raise the north and unite with the Wildlings……a resurrected Jon free from his oath fits the bill nicely for the red witch to latch onto now that Stannis is dead.

Of course knowing GOT we will probably get a new character (who will need several episodes of back story) who will then die horribly leaving the north defenceless against the ever so slowly white walker horde moving south.

How is it a spoiler if it is in a trailer????

Look at the title of the post. Spoilers don't get much more spoilery (Spoilant? Spoiler-shaped? Damn your language!) than "[Major character] is dead".

LostPict12 Apr 2016 7:56 a.m. PST

But is he getting residuals? I think even a Zombie Jon Snow would still know nothing.

Who asked this joker12 Apr 2016 8:50 a.m. PST

They are selling it too much. Jon Snow will be alive again…at least for some value of alive. He will be back on or about episode 3. Some beloved character will be dead on or about episode 9. Some major bad guy will take a setback on or about episode 5.

It's the original tittle… I don't change them…

@ Lupulus, it is a TRAILER: the producers have intentionally put it out early as an advertisement for their product. As such, we don't even know if it is correct, or slanted (how many trailers have you seen that have things that don't actually make the movie/show? I've seen lots!)

Sorry, but trailers can't be spoilers as they are done for the purpose of generating comment and interest. The simple fact is we aren't going to know the fate of any character until the entire series is over.

Lupulus13 Apr 2016 6:18 a.m. PST

@langobard, It's the TITLE of the POST.
Look at the large bold text at the top left of this very page.
That title, right there, appears when I open theminiaturespage, like this:

That title ("So, Jon Snow Is Still Dead in New Game of Thrones Trailer") contains a major spoiler, namely that Jon Snow dies at the end of season five.

Posting spoilers in titles is considered rude. Posting spoilers in the actual text is also rude, unless there is fair warning beforehand, like adding [spoiler] in the title of the post.

Acharnement13 Apr 2016 6:56 a.m. PST

Just personally, but I try to avoid all trailers, promo photos, etc. before I see the film. So, unfortunately, the title is a spoiler for me.
Please keep posting but include 'spoiler' in your title if your post or links in your post contain spoiler items. Thanks!

Winston Smith13 Apr 2016 7:58 a.m. PST

He has been dead in the books for five years. He had been dead in the tv series for 9 months.
Not to mention it's all over entertainment news on the Internet.
So the fact that Jon Snow is "dead" is hardly a spoiler.
If you really cared, you would have found out by now, so get over it. "I may get around to watching this some time in the next few years" is lame.

By the way, Darth Vader is Luke's father.
And Caesar gets stabbed on the Ides of March.

Winston Smith13 Apr 2016 8:00 a.m. PST

"Look. We've talked about this. Etc."
Doesn't mean that everyone agrees with you. grin

Lupulus13 Apr 2016 8:15 a.m. PST

@Winston Smith: Yes, I have known for a few years and I have still managed to refrain from posting it in titles all over message boards. It's not difficult.

I'm trying to teach Armand to not just uncritically regurgitate everything he trawls up on the 'net here, like an automatronic parrot. He has previously done this with spoilers that were, at the time, one month old. Unless he's told "please don't", he will do it again.

Doesn't mean that everyone agrees with you.

You don't need to. Just Armand is enough.

@Armand: Please try to be a considerate parrot.

Thanks for teaching me Lupulus….!… I would tried to be a good parrot!!… (smile).

Ah!… Batman is Bruce Wayne… (sorry for that important data!… as a Parrot, I cannot restrain… (smile).
