I'm going to be in Ottawa next weekend on business, staying downtown. Can anyone recommend some good gaming stores for me to visit while I'm in town? Google maps shows several awesome looking places, including some gaming cafe/lounges. What do the locals recommend? Thanks! |

When I'm in Ottawa I always make a stop at Fandom II which is downtown. Lots of "vintage" stuff to look through. A very typical old school game store when you can find the occasional gem. |

If you have a car…5-10 mind away in Gatineau is frere de bataille or boutique fdb…in the market is a gaming lounge, board games, etc…and there's usually some gaming going on at fandom in the basement… |

I won't have a car, but I am staying downtown near Albert and Lyon. Thanks for the tips! I'll swing by Fandom II for sure. |

The downtown is fairly quiet on the weekends…but fandom is near Elgin and Laurier…about 10-15 minute walk…and the market begins around rideau and Sussex…about 5 mins from fandom. Cheers. |

If you are around Friday night there is a meeting of the Ottawa Miniatures Gamers – see creasey.ca/omg/. I think there is also a club that meets at Fandom II on Fridays. |
